The staff was very friendly, polite & helpful, esp. the gentleman called Mr. Mutlu. The location also was quite convenient for sites like Blue Mosque, Basilica and Topkapi palace. The tram station was very close to go to Taksim, etc. Free WiFi internet in the hotel. Convenience stores & restaurants very close.
No lift. I had to take steep stairs all the way to the 3rd floor, which may not be a big problem, but can be painful if u forget something and have to go up or if u have old people and luggage. Free internet, but no WiFi signal on the third floor and above where I was. Breakfast was good but basic. Overall good hotel, friendly staff with good location, but can not say value-for-money.

I did the booking for the room and the return airport transfers for my son who had a 1 night stopover in Istanbul to connect his flight home to Kuala Lumpur. I was very impressed and very pleased with the manager, Mr Husnu who was very prompt and professional with his replies on my booking for the airport transfers. My son said that the hotel's airport transfer was very reliable, convenient and comfortable. As my son lost his handphone before flying to Istanbul, I could only contact him through Atlantis Hotel and I must give special mention and thanks to Mr Husnu who updated me on my son's arrival and passed on my messages to my son. He was very friendly and helpful and he even gave my son a map and gave him advice and directions to the places of interest. My son found the hotel location is great as it is about 10 minutes to the various attractions in Istanbul. Food is easily available and shopping is very convenient as the Grand Bazaar is quite near. There is a tram stop near the hotel but you don't need it as you can walk to the attractions. The hotel room is clean, there is no elevator but the staff and location is excellent.

Great location - Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi are at 5-10 minutes of walking distance. 10 minutes tram ride to Galata bridge. Friendly staff. Breakfast is served on the rooftop - a lot of sunshine in the morning. In December it was very quiet location. Our room has windows in two walls, so it was very bright.
Furniture is a little bit shabby, the same goes to window frames.

(1) Good location. (2) Spartan, but cheap. Perhaps in Turkey the hotel's 3-star rating is reasonable. I was in Athens 2 years ago and this hotel would not deserve 3 stars there.
My husband & I stayed for a week. Then he returned home & I stayed 5 days more. (1) The towels were never changed & I never noticed new sheets. (2) The hotel arranged travel to Ataturk Airport. My husband paid 45 TL for a "taxi". It arrived late ("there must be a traffic accident") & stopped to collect "friends" before going to the airport. I paid 10 TL for a "shuttle". It was late too ("there must be a traffic accident"). At the airport, we stopped behind the first parked vehicle, a good walk from the first door. The driver never spoke, just unloaded our bags. (3) I was able to sleep, my husband had problems. Several times, the waterpipe business close by played music to 5 am.

Hotel is clean, the free breakfast was stale. The local bar played loud music until 4 am and the roosters started to crow around 5 am. Good value for the money. Bring ear plugs.
